In 1947, the LEGO company acquired equipment for the production of plastic and molds, and two years later it produced about 200 types of various plastic and wooden toys, including the very "self-locking bricks" of Page.

In 1977, the LEGO TECHNIC series appeared for children from 6 years old, and since 1995, the company has been producing a set for children under 4 years old - LEGO BABY. In the period from 2004 to 2006, LEGO PRIMO sets were produced for the youngest children.

In 1975, the designers of the designer came up with an original idea – to complement the sets with miniature figures of little men. At first, they had no faces and were an armless torso, which was accompanied by a wide set of plastic hairstyles and hats. But later they added it all.
LEGO became seriously concerned with global expansion in the early 1980s. The company's management has set the task for engineers and designers to cover as many segments of the children's toys market as possible, while not interfering in related industries that produce, for example, dolls or children's weapons. Later, kits for girls began to be produced.
