Biography
Birthday: January 22 1915, Yashmolkino village.

She learned to play the gusli at a young age, playing at parties and weddings from the age of seven.

School years: primary school in Sarlatovo 1924 - 1928

In 1934 she studied at the technical school of Arts in Yoshkar-Ola

In 1936 she played in Moscow as part of the Mari State Choir.

Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.





Having successfully graduated from college in 1938, Sidushkina entered the 1st year of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.

Her marriage to K.A. Smirnov in 1942

She graduated from the conservatory in 1946

A music teacher in Mari Music college

In 1948 she became the artistic director of the ensemble gusli players in the Mari State Philharmonic.

Her works

She was very active in collecting and performing Mari El folk songs in order to have them written down in musical notation. These were published in 1958, in the book "Mary Kyryk Halyk myry-vlak“

In 1967 the book «Kysle»was published for gusli players.

Sidushkina's work was highly praised by our people and she got an honorary diploma in Moscow.

1956 –a teacher of gusli and choral singing at the technical school of Arts in Yoshkar-Ola

Work at Mari State Pedagogical Institute as a senior lecturer of music, singing and art.
