St. Patrick's day The most important holiday in Ireland is St. Patrick's day (17th March). People associate this day with the national symbol of Ireland – a shamrock.
Traditions There is a funny tradition in Ireland. On St. Patrick's day people put a leaf of shamrock in the glass of beer and then drink it. They believe that this tradition brings happiness and luck. Other interesting traditions are connected with Leprechauns and four-leaved clover.
Leprechauns Leprechauns are magical creatures. People believe that leprechauns keep their gold in small pots under the rainbow.
